Braeburn

Did you know that Braeburn needs a relatively long vegetation period to ripen? This means that this variety is particularly suitable for the temperate maritime climate of the Old Land.

Sweet

Sour

It was discovered by pure coincidence in 1952 in Upper Moutere, New Zealand. The Braeburn is a medium-sized to large fruit, has a slightly raised shape and a medium to long stem. It has an attractive greenish-yellow skin with a brick-red, partly brownish outer color. Its flesh is light yellow, very firm and very crisp. It tastes slightly sweet and refreshing.

Production processes

Everything is organized at Elbe-Obst, starting from planning fruit plantations up to certifying, so that the retailers and finally the consumers receive the best quality apples, pears, cherries, raspberries and strawberries.

Certified Quality

In addition to internal controls of Elbe-Obst, the quality of apples, pears and pome fruit as well as soft fruit are also monitored by external inspection systems such as QS, Kosher certificate, ecological certificates or the regional window.
