The demand for organically grown pome fruit is increasing. Therefore producers have also changed some of the Elbe-Obst production. Above all, Jonagold, Gored, Elstar, Holsteiner Cox and occurring exclusively in the organic segment varieties Topaz and Ambassy are grown organically. Partially it is changing goods.
The Elbe-Obst Producer Organization r.V. system is certified according to the Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91 (EC Organic Regulation) Herewith Elbe-Obst is entitled to process the grading and packing locations biologically grown fruit and marketing. Marketing is carried out by the fruit farm zum Felde KG from Jork, who is the partner of the Elbe-Obst Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH.
In addition to the certification according to the EC-organic farming regulations there is also the Naturland-Certification. For marketing the trademark “ Elbe-Obst Biological“ was developed.
